Mushroom Medicine

When do we consider something a drug, and when a medicine?

Psychedelics such as magic mushrooms have been used by humans for thousands of years to connect with each other and the natural world. In the modern world, magic mushrooms are being labelled as a hard drug - and often pointed out as dangerous rather than healing.

Yet, new approaches in the medical world are showing up, allowing more trustful approaches towards psychedelics. While medicines like antidepressants can blur out symptoms, psychedelics taken in the right settings can help to get closer to our core.

Exhibited at the Spectrum group exhibition in Rijswijk, November 2021.
